big benford
Oh, I'd really like to see a show based on Chicago's early stuff. Selections: -Introduction -Does Anybody Really Know What Time it Is? -Beginnings -Colour My World -24 or 6 to 4 (What a closer, huh?) I would say "Free" but only if the Blue Devils do it. Let's face it, they own that one :) Oh, or a show based on the works of Beethoven. I don't care what they play, any Beethoven will do. Wow, Tower of Power, Chicago? Those are great! If you're ever looking to get your degree in music education, you should think about Arizona State. The guy that does the marching band and some music ed classes there is totally into that in his designs. Writes his own arrangements and drill, too...and did for a lot of Texas for a while. Very cool taste for a guy your age. Kudos. ^OO^ ~C
Wadep66
Which Dune did you have in mind? The movie from around 1984 w/ Sting in it (I think Toto <the group, not the dog> wrote the music for the movie) , or the Sci-Fi Channel mini-series put out a few years ago?If Cadets do it, are they going to have giant worms come up through the field and devour parts of the corps? They could invert the Z-pull and call it "folding space". Toto. There is one tune in 5/4 or 7/4 that uses a lot of snare drum. I like the "folding space idea". Perhaps they could also inflate a suit and float a big fat guy with bad skin around. You have to admit, the movie had some amazing costumes and visual elements that could create a big impact on the field. It's a shame the movie was too deep for most theatergoers. i think they were expecting another star wars and instead got a space metaphor on the war over oil. :P

Meaghatron
I believe that a couple corps have used some of this music already, but I'd love to hear like Phantom Regiment or someone do the music from "The Prince of Egypt." That soundtrack is incredible. :)
