MelloDisciple
With the help of amplification: DMB, Tupac, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, John Mayer, Fergie, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Jay-z. Copyright comes into play of course. That aside as the sole determining factor, there are arrangers to pull it off as well as corps to perform it well. These are not at all the only suggestible artists.

Problem is, most rock isn't that technical/difficult to play (please see Cavaliers 2007 for more information b**bs )

This music is highly accessible and with the right arranger anything can be written with ample difficulty.
Musicman1084
Freelancer's indoor group also did a Tower of Power show with the same tunes in their 2002 (I think) show. It was ######. "Techno Vaccination" was the name of the show.
Triple Forte
What kinds of shows would you like to see on the field. What kind of music, drill, which group would you like to see producing your idea? I'm just curious to see what the creative minds of drum corps fans come up with. A good start would be anything less dark and anything that doesn't pull from Wind Ensemble literature....... 1.Show entitled "The Rat Pack" 2.More straight out JAZZ/big band swing 3.Raiders of the Lost Ark.....could see Madison doing something like this 4.The Three Tenors....maybe Glassmen ? 5.Blue Knights......music from Stan Kenton (I think BK is due for a switch....dark this...dark that..) 6.Cadets....music from the movie Gettysburg 7.Crossmen....music of David Grusin and David Benoit (Jazz) and many many more......... leeb
Pink Floyd! Not necessarily only The Wall but parts of it. They sound great with Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. I think a few songs have been done by drum corps but has anyone done a entire show?

Huntington Mallets
1. Take the drill from the Cavaliers, along with the intense/sharp marching style of the Santa Clara Vanguard2. Mix in a little Phantom Regiment "in your face" lush classical music, and perhaps a dash of Blue Devils mega-chords for a jazz number 3. Toss in some bright color (via uniforms and flags) and cool "not all in unison" rifle work from the colorguard (SCV 2004, Phantom 2006, or SCV 2007 will do) 4. Add to that a hot, well-tuned drumline (ala SCV 2004, Phantom Regiment 2006/2007, Bluecoats 2006, or Cadets 2000) 5. Mix it all together with the most talented performers from around the world And whallah! The perfect drum corps show! :D As to who I'd like to produce it?? ...one guess Sounds like Vanguard
