Hipposduck
I have 1 question to all of the people that don't like the Academy touring schedule. Their schedule was on dci.org long before the season started. Why then, did the complaining not start until recently?

Brigadier80
Do you think The Academy will make finals? Please vote and share your thoughts!! As we have seen in prior years west coast corps who do not participate in the first tour usually see there scores drop when they meet up with the rest of the corps. My bet is that this will happen in San Antonio with Academy competing with Spirit and Blue Stars for the last spot.

skd7781
If Academy does make it into finals this year I hope they do not become one-hit-wonders like other corps that went from Div II/III to Div I corps and made finals. Seattle '02, Magic '03 Give the highly methodical and conservative manner in which they've grown the corps and it's ability to take on larger tours, I'd say that wasn't a worry. They've CLEARLY learned from the many MANY mistakes of those who have gone before them and would not be making the move to Div I unless they already have the mechanism in place to keep them there financially. This is the same ting so many of us have been hitting on in the various Academy threads....but there're a certain percentage of DCP'ers who simply don't want to hear it. Seattle '02, Magic '03 With the methodical planning that Academy has been taking so far, I wouldn't be too worried about them being one-hit wonders. Will they become top three contenders next year or the year after? Probably not. That said, by all appearances, they sure look to at least be in the mix to make finals for at least the near future.
