He lost his left index finger and almost lost his left thumb but having a wonderful hand surgeon and Bob's determination, he did not loose use of that finger. At that time he was drumming with the Reilly Raiders (see I know how to spell it!), so following the accident he was out of commission for a very long time. When he recovered he began to play again but, if you know Bob, if he couldn't do something 100%, he wouldn't do it! So, he became Reilly's drum major and held that position until he became ill in 1998. As DM he wore white gloves and, of course, the empty left index finger would just flap in the breeze when he conducted! You can imagine the jokes that the guys made about that! There was never a dull moment when Hamilton was around! This house is a little too quiet for me now! Gosh, I miss him and I know you all do too! But, do we have memories!!!!! When giving hints on these try to be creative and just dangle the tiniest tidbit. Make people really think / work on it. Then wait it out a while before tossing another tiny vague tidbit...
