That's hysterical bringing up Valencia... Who'd a thunk it??? All those legionaires cheering for a Spanish corps in bell bottomed pants praising the flag of the United States while playing Valencia????? fond memories...

Please Read Before You Post
If you *know* who it is.... please wait a while (not everyone is on here all day or even daily for that matter)
If there have been no Guesses..........Then give a *challenging* hint.
When giving hints on these try to be creative and just dangle the tiniest tidbit. Make people really think / work on it. Then wait it out a while before tossing another tiny vague tidbit...

C'mon we've got to make these last a little longer. PLEASE??

Also, any comments made MUST be made in good taste... this is a fun loving thread... not a revenge match. Please spew your venom elsewhere.
Please submit any questions and / or pics in their full size (preferably JPG format), with full description - names, Corps, Stadium, Year... etc. to:

Don't get your First Amendment all in a knot, Ray.

"Lord and Master" was from "The King and I" (starring Vince Degan as the king), and Rogers and Hammerstein were referencing the ruler of Siam, where all those smooth cats come from.

It had nothing to do with Holy Mother the Church, Holy Name or Our Lady of Most Precious Bingo.

The Sunrisers, of course, did play "The Lord's Prayer" from "King of Kings", wherein Murphy and I (two good Irish Catholic lads) took turns as altar boys. But that corps was full of sinners at the time, and truly needed divine intercession.

Today, they are "as pure as the driven snow."

That highlighted sentence might very well be the understatement of the century.

Someone really needs to do something about that too...

They could use a serious BoBo bus ride like 1975 from Scranton to Brooklyn.

I couldn't find my car for 3 days - AFTER I drove home!

That was a trip to remember - wish I could.

Curse you Mike Dominick!*

*insiders understand that one, even if they don't remember details

By the way I believe the church to which you are referring is the "Our Lady of Perpetual Conception" (Mothers' Club meets on Friday each week) over where the Interborough Pkwy meets Jackie Robinson Pkwy.

Oh, c'mon....

No one can pick just one! Or, at least "I" can't. He's a legend that has captured decades of "Corps" through his lens.

Forever grateful to him!!!!

Totally agree, Nanci.

It would tough to narrow it down to a thousand, yet alone one!!!

Sinners? You mean like the bathtub scene at Carlton University in Ottawa Ontario Canada? I along with many of my Upstate NY friends partook of some of the bathtub refreshments and viewed the "accessory" in the tub... "Sun" knew how to light up any party...

Now as for our newest candidate for star status... I would say the short person is sitting on the curb watching the parade...

first is the corps the Hurricanes?
