00Sop
Why didn't Tradition get a score last night, when MCL did? Perhaps they are awaiting a DCI evaluation. I didn't realize they were exhibition until we saw the recaps. It was a 4-judge panel up in the box. This corps [Tradition] is off to a good start. Looking forward to their progress and having a new competitor 5 hrs. away from us. Edited July 2, 2008 by 00Sop
camel lips
50 brass, 8-4-5-6 battery, 11 pit, 15 guard, plus Honor guard, plus 2 interchanging members who take over spots playing and marching when another member switches instruments on the field for a featured part. Plus 1 DM, and 1 backfield conductor. Thats pretty impressive. Many of the top 5 corps are struggling to keep those kind of numbers.Great job!!!!!!! CallipygianKing
gary, tradition is in a dci show today.(fairfield,oh.) a suburb of cincinnati.they may recieve a score tonight. Still listed as "Exhibition". Hehe... Are you all exhibitionists? I wonder what criteria DCI uses to determine whether an all-age corps is competing by themselves (a la Renegades in Stockton) or in exhibition. Perhaps Tradition needs to get a year under their belt or host a DCI show? Maybe the DCI judges just weren't prepared and don't have DCA sheets? Anyone know the real answer? BOSMarcher
Why didn't Tradition get a score last night, when MCL did? Some corps choose to be exhibition. No corps is aloud to perform at a DCI event without a DCI evaluation. I think you will see that other corps will choose to do exhibition instead of competition... for reason or another. Scerpella
Thats pretty impressive. Many of the top 5 corps are struggling to keep those kind of numbers.Great job!!!!!!! The drill is written for 50 horns and we have had injury issues this year, probably due to the faster and more difficult drill. So in any given performance youll see us with 50-46 horns depending on which one of our brittle contra players has gone down! lol BTW there IS a great shot of them at Madison in the dci.org slideshow for that contest.
