I'm about a mile from Irmo High School and it's thundering and lightening. No rain---yet. The sky looks bad, it looks like it's building up right overhead. I cant hear any drums and that's not a good sign because I can always hear them if they're practicing.

I love rain shows. I like it when lightning happens while you are on the field, and you keep playing....lol

That's what happened with the Colts...huge blast of lighting and thunder...kept right on going. They had a great show.

Latest word is a directors meeting at 845 to decide if they will keep going. If they say its a go, earliest start is 915.

It's touch and go here. I think the bigger storm will miss us to the south by just a few miles. There's still a lot of thunder and lightening all around. I hope they hold off before they make any decisions. It will go by.

The Irmo band director said that they were going to wait to see where the worst cell goes before deciding.

Just got a call from a friend at the show. He said he thought the rain, thunder and lightening only gave the Colts a boost. He said they had to unplug the pit amps after the opener, but said the corps was playing with some great energy and really brought it for the crowd.

Way to go Colts! Hope they get the rest of the show in.
