tommytimp
When did shows start having titles? Late 80s/early 90s. Corps began unifying in the early 80s but didn't start acknowledging it wholesale until about 1988 or so, thnks in large part to Dr. Rosalie Sward's 'What to Listen For' columns in DCW. (Star 88's "Porgy and Brass," etc.) Then comes 1991, with City of Angels, Phantom Voices, The ABCs of Modern American Music, The Cavalier Anthems:An Advent Collection, Miss Saigon, Camelot, and many others. So, like all artistic changes, it happened over time and is hard to pin down but easy to generalize in a time period.

ContraFart
Well here is mine 1. 93 Star 2. 95 Cadets 3. 09 Crown 4. 96 Magic 5. 85 Suncoast 6. 93 BD 7. 02 Cavies 8. 95 Scouts 9. 10 Bluecoats 10. 94 Magic 11. 99 Crossmen (because thats the year I marched) I know its a rather random list, and since Magic is on it twice, its sort of homer, but each of these shows spoke to me in their own ways, these are not the "best" shows per se, but they are my personal favorites. Stryfe
This is no particular order. Also, I'm sorry for being so predictable, and so "new school" :P I've seriously watched stuff from the 80s/90s and enjoy it a lot usually, I just like new stuff more. Probably because I'm a pit person. Also note that qualifying for me as a favorite has about as much to do with show design and music selection as with performance level. 1. Phantom Regiment 06 2. Phantom Regiment 03 3. Phantom Regiment 08 4. Santa Clara Vanguard 99 5. Madison Scouts 10 6. Cavaliers 04 7. Madison Scouts 99 8. Madison Scouts 03 9. Bluecoats 05 10. Madison Scouts 98 Favorite eras: Phantom 89-97; Madison the 90s; Cavaliers the oughts; Cadets consistently on and off; recent Bluecoats stuff (past 6 years) And I'd say that my favorite show, in terms of design, performance, music selection, etc., is probably Phantom 06.
