You and Jeff Mitchell marched there together back in the Johnson Administration days right? (Lyndon....not Andrew!......now THOSE were bugles baby!!)

"Pow Wow":

You are correct. The "Indians" hosted some really great junior shows "Way Back Then". A few of the corps that competed included the St Lucy's and Bridgeport PAL Cadets, New York Kingsmen, CMCC Warriors, Magnificent Yankees, Toronto Optimists, Garfield Cadets and St Raphaels Buccaneers.

And they ALL used "G" bugles...

loved after the show, everyone would try to crowd into the kingston diner which was just across from the stadium. some made it, some didnt.....

back in the day.. the show was actually called "The Pow Wow of Junior Champions". im not sure when seniors started at the show?

I'm pretty sure that St. Rocco's was there a few times. Every time I go back to Kingston it brings back the great memories of the strong junior corps that were around then. That's another thread though.

Kingston used to have a junior corps show there in the 70's called the POW-Wow with your host The Kinston Indians

Remember the "Mud Bowl" when the entire corps fainted in the mud?

Or was that Corning? The memory...she is a-going!!!

Congratulations on your victory in Kingston, James!

You're doing a great job!

Best of luck the rest of the way, and especially in Ra-cha-cha!!!

You can also add corps like St. Rita's, Muchachos and Anaheim Kingsmen to that list. Lots of great memories at this show back in the day.
