  1. Going to have to go with the 1970 Dream, Vol.1 (Juniors). Great recording, the corps were all really good and, a great picture of BS on the cover.
  2. My sincere condolences go out to Rick's family and friends. Danny Raymond, Jr.
  3. Chris, My deepest condolences to you and your family. Danny Raymond, Jr.
  4. You can also add corps like St. Rita's, Muchachos and Anaheim Kingsmen to that list. Lots of great memories at this show back in the day.
  5. Without a doubt, the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights.
  6. Hello Fran, Wow, Mike Marsh! Great guy. I remember him and guys like Mike Wish from Manville. Wish always wanted to go to BS, which he eventually did. Last time I saw him was at a show in Elizabeth in 1975 or 76. He was the emcee, believe it or not. I last saw Mike Marsh at DCA in 1990. And, I'm very glad to hear Barbara is progressing. Please give her my best, and you hang in there too.
  7. Fran, I'm very happy to hear how things are progressing with Barbara. My best to the both of you!
  8. Andy and Steve, Things are going well, thank you. I hope all is well with the both of you. I'll probably try to pick up DVD's of 1972 and I hope they can eventually convert the junior portion of the 1969 Dream. Also, I'm hoping to get back in the mix drum corps wise next season. I'll keep you posted. Take care!
  9. Hello Steve, Did they actually record the juniors at the 1969 Dream? Man, with todays technology, I would hope they could convert or restore those tapes. BS, St.Lucy's, 27th and Garfield. That would be great.
  10. Thanks for providing all the action! Would it be possible to ask who is on the judging slate for tonight? Thanks!
  11. I was 5 yrs old in 1969. I remember walking into Roosevelt Stadium with my dad for the Dream and running into some members of the Emerald Lancers in the parking lot, who he taught at the time. Oh and Frank, congrats once again on the HOF induction and sorry I won't be there to see you throw down at I & E.
  12. Hey, no problem Dan. Actually the guy out front is Denny Doud who was a Cavalier snare tech back in the sixties and seventies. I also understand that Larry McCormick will be involved with the anniversary corps next year. To what extent, I don't know, but I'm sure someone like Paul Milano could answer any questions out there.
  13. I had an opportunity to watch and listen (and even take part in warm ups) to The Classic Cavaliers drumline prior to the Michigan City, Indiana show this summer. It was amazing to see and hear the original parts performed by these guys, some who haven't really played much in the last thirty or so years. If what I saw was some of them "getting the cobwebs out", man these cats must have been scary back in the day! It was one thing to hear parts off the records (never witnessing first hand. I was 2 years old for the 1966 stuff) but now I witnessed all the back-sticking and flips that took place! I have just added some video content of the line to my website that some of you may enjoy. The link is http://www.backsticks.com/spotlight.htm I'm not sure that many in the NE are aware The Cavaliers have an alumni corps. Better yet, I believe 2008 will feature an anniversary corps. In any event, I thought I would post this clip for all to enjoy and, my best to everyone competing/performing in Rochester.
  14. Yes Derek, thanks for the listing and I'm not surprised the percussion is strong.
