shine1108
So with the obvious (and deserved!!!!) recent success Phantom have had with rejuvinated shows (Firebird, Spaticus). Do you think they will carry on in the same direction? If so, what show do you think is next? Romeo and juliet, new world Symphony, Swan lake? or what show would you like to see phantom do? Do you think they will carry on in the same direction? If so, what show do you think is next? Romeo and juliet, new world Symphony, Swan lake? or what show would you like to see phantom do? I was actually thinking about this the other day...this would be a good show concept for them. It would certainly allow them to tell a story again (as well as kill off a few people in the duel, and of course, at the end....MORE BLOODSHED, YAY!). Like this year's show, it would be cool if they did just a little bit of the Tchaikovsky "Romeo" and some of the Prokofiev one, then a whole bunch of unrelated tunes that just happen to work. Might be pretty cool.
skajerk
Symphonie PHantastique I have been saying this for years now! This show deserves a "do-over"!! And I fixed the post for you. Edited August 12, 2008 by skajerk
Harmonious Cacophony
Over the past few years (05-08), Phantom's shows have seemed very ballet-influenced. I would expect the corps to go in the same direction over the next few years unless they have a drastic stylistic change. Performing a Romeo and Juliet show (maybe with Prokofiev's or Berlioz's R&J instead of Tchaik's) or Swan Lake would be very much in step with Phantom's current style. DCIHasBeen
I kind of like the idea of Regiment exploring something from the Wagnerian Operas ... Parsifal or "The Ring". Epic music and lots of opportunities for blood-and-guts action sequences.
