ffernbus3
The lead bari squad of the 1967 Anaheim Kingsmen had to play those little Getzen single baritones: so much back pressure it was like playing thru a sock stuck deep in the bell. Name them? Not individually, but collectively they were called "MF'N P.O.S. G-D Horns!" Still know to this day as such among the three of us. BTW: "GD" was not a reference to G bugles with a single valve change to D: but I guess you knew that, eh? RON HOUSLEY

Dave
My CC tuba is named Chuck, in honor of the guy who helped design it, Chuck Dallenbach of the Canadian Brass. It's a silver Getzen CB-50 with Canadian Brass stenciled on the bell. Haven't named my contra, a Kanstul 3v 5/4, yet; I'm sure I will in due time.
