Marching Mallets
Hmm...I thought the competitive DCA Cabs corps did the exhibition in 2005. Could be wrong..both are great! Nope, it was the Rumps from another time zone.....Double Bass Tenors, Marching Congas, Flamadiddles everywhere.
84BDsop
(didn't mention the quality alumni corps action as a lock, because we all know that's a given in 2010) No foolin'.....if the quality even comes CLOSE to that of teh minicorps, they will be the new standard for alum groups....finally unseating 27th (at least in my head) As for it getting old.....nnnnope.....even though the BD/SCV group only did Precision West, Pacific Processions, and the Stanford regional, it was well recieved and enjoyed on all sides. dckid80
The Mini Corps has been both aswesome and dominant. The sound coming out of that group is something to behold. In truth it really is beyond what the DCA crowd can appreciate.

When they hit the first notes of "Praise Ye" their first year out, I abot had a corpsgasm right there in the hall!

Hopefully, though, they'll march. K'men did 72 pages of drill. That will be hard to top!
Galen
Can't wait to hear them there. Can we still boo for old times' sake?
kickhaltsforlife
i wish i was around before they pulled out, just a random observation, when they left dci... it got pretty boring for a while, just what i have gathered by being a geek and watching all the dvds of the 90's... before i was fan. tromboner42
Will there be any alumni corps performance at the 2009 finals week? Edited November 11, 2008 by tromboner42
Jeff Ream
nostalgia is a one-time thinglong-term, its boring i'll quite disagree and so will many people. in fact, in 2002, one of the loudest reactions of the weekend went to the Royal Airs. Another to SCV's Alumni. in 06...Madison? you kidding me? fans wet themselves. Cavies last year brought down the house. and 1994....27th? the most epic win of all time times a zillion no givebacks
