84BDsop
favoritism? Duh! Note that I didn't list any of the OTHER years BD played the New York Fantasy tag ending...various versions for 5 years....84 was the last (and we almost didn't play it....for first tour we reprised the end of the opener)

tommytimp
For a "down" closer I'll go with Dindi, BD 1980. Fantastic. Suncoast 85, Midnight in Miami, is great for a vibey-type closer. For an absolute rouser, I may have to go with the 1986 version ofConquest by BAC. That's the best I ever heard them play it. I'm a little surprised none of the other olde phartes has mentioned Conquest.

Rocketman
1993 Regiment Good call. Not nearly enough love for this. Death Hunt was a brutal, bombastic, in your face from start to finish piece that was so bad ### that I'm surprised the Regiment played it. Way too underrated. MikeD
For me there is only one in thinking of traditional closers from the dark ages (i.e. "my era" ) .... 2-7's "Danny Boy" (any year, starting with 1971, I think) A few come close... Kilties "Auld Lang Syne", again, any year Blue Rock's "Requiem for the Masses", 1971 Blessed Sac's "Free Again", 1969 (and I think 1970 too) Skyliners "Give My Regards to Broadway/Little Ol' NY"
