Kamarag
Yea, if this thing was scored, the military bands would be ahead of everyone else by twenty points. Great fanfare from the Navy!
fsubone
Trooper's Battlehymn is the actual name of the piece, and they sounded really good doing it. Think they should be required to go at a slide by the reviewing box, get the full effect. Was kind of hoping that the Cadets would use the 05 uniforms, mess with the cameras when the drum major led the corps moving backwards... 84BDsop
HA!! One of the bands playing "We Shall Overcome." Nice statement....and by a predominately WHITE band! Somewhere Dr.King is smiling!
84BDsop
Hey....who let the Brigs in?? Oh...wait....nevermind....Petal HS unis....heh
Minimaster
Colts hornline actually sounded better than Cadets IMO.The lower brass sounded...eh and the mellos had tuning issues. I know it was cold, but it was cold for both groups. Cadets had a great sized color guard. What was that crap of oldest continually active performing drum and bugle corps???? That honor goes to the Racine Scouts I believe. Yes, you are right, I quick check of the Racine Scouts website, Racine Scouts shows they are 7 years older than The Cadets. dbc03
Did the Racine Scouts compete every season since they started?
kac
Thanks for the Cspan suggestion- I just found it after both corps, but at least I got to see Trumbull without all of the chatter from the talking heads.
CoHmempho04
Trumbull High School is leading for me right now in the "High School Class" followed by South Cobb.
