Not best, just most competitive. 4. 2003 - Just a heck of a lot of fun. 5. 2007 - Better than '04 - because somebody found a toaster for that bread and butter. 6. 2004 - Better than '05 - only because somebody finally decided to use butter instead of I can't believe it's not butter. 7. 2005 - Had all the ear marks of being the best - a lot of real themes and too many high scores to those who didn't deserve them. 8. 2002 - More cohesive but kinda of an homogenized group of shows. 9. 2001 - A lot of confusion ... but I had a lot of expectations. Like I said - just my opinion. Coming from the "Way-Back Machine" as I do, I've had to suspend belief a great deal over the past 25 or so years. DCImonkey
2000 was simply remarkable. At least 4 corps that year performed my all time favorite show for those respective corps that season. Cavies, Cadets, SCV, Boston....and BD's show was pretty darn good too! Give me 2000 any day over any other year. 2002 was probably the least entertaining year in drumcorps. Only a few great shows that year and the competition was not very good. The only excitement was to see whether Magic could win D2 and make Finals and if Seattle would bump out Madison. The rest was just....eeehh.
