AlexL
I'm away from my ps3 right now, and was curious. Has anyone tried the new version of the FN to see if it works on a PS3? Would make putting the webcasts on my tv much easier.
BozzlyB
If it does that would be a fabulous excuse for picking up a new PS3.

It's an amazing game platform (though I'm not that into video games), PLUS it's a blu-ray/dvd player. And few things look better than a blu-ray movie on an HD TV (except for maybe a true IMAX film). Back on topic, this question comes up every season, but unfortunately I don't recall anyone having any luck with Fan Network working via PS3, though with DCI's continually changing/improving technical capabilities that might change this year. A better question might be if anyone has had any luck with WGI Fan Network on PS3 (since I believe it's the same company that DCI uses). But FN's flash based or Java based (right?), which the Wii cannot support either. I've been thinking of picking up a PS3 in the next few months anyways for MAG (awesome game!!!), and this might be able to put me over the top. As far as Blu-Ray goes, everything would be beautiful on it if movie makers had had extras wear makeup. Being able to see EVERYONE in a picture is not necessarily a good thing. DanjrusMcRynky
I dont think it worked....I cant remember now. If it helps, Hulu didnt work. I mean, it would work, but it would be incredibly choppy.
AlexL
Hulu works as far as i know.. however, i just checked, and it appears the FN works even worse than last year on the PS3. It says bad request (invalid url) when i direct it to fannetwork.dci.org or go there through the link on dci's page. Just a white page with that error. The ps3 supports flash 9 as of firmware 2.50, so this appears to be something completely on the fan network to make workable. It would be incredible if they could make this happen. cmathis
XBox 360 supports flash with MCE browser, but there is no sound........... so it's pointless, which ticks me off. Oh well... I get to drag cords all over the living room to my computer again!

cmathis
Wait, how do you get a browser on the 360? It'll play the video from Fan Network? You have to connect it to a Windows Media Center computer, then on your computer, install the "MCE Browser" from http://www.anpark.com/software.aspx. After you do that, you can run Windows Media Center on your XBox and open up the browser.
