UtkMallet
Pioneer has been the corps people always peg early on as being last all season. They started the 08 season with a 52.1 The 09 season has started with a 59.1 They are bigger and have a higher vet return this season. The last contest they were .2 from Madison and .7 from Spirit in percussion. Will we see Pioneer pull out of last? Please keep negative comments to yourself. I would like this to be discussion. BozzlyB
I do not think Pio will get last this year. Don't know about making semis, but not last IMO.

I love PIO and it certainly sounds like they have made improvements, but I do think it will be very difficult for them to move out of last. Not sure though haven't seen anything from Cascades yet. UtkMallet
I have not seen Cascades either so I cant say anything about Pio beating them. I have heard they are around the same size as one another. Pioneer has a hard time living down the stereotype of last place.

ouooga
I'm curious about Cascades and Surf. Those two will greatly affect Pio's placement this year. That said, if you assume that they are 7 points ahead of where they were this time of year last year, and they keep that 7 point jump on all of their scores, that puts them somewhere between 16th and 15th based on last year's scores with an 81.125. Obviously that specific situation won't happen, but it's a decent bench mark. I'm pulling for them for semis for sure!
arno0940
From what I have heard, the Cascades are small (30 brass and limited colour guard) Not that size is everything, but it can be a factor.
roosevelt
I think Pioneer has a great shot at finishing out of last place this season. Cascades are going to be really rough this year, so I would be pretty surprised if they beat anybody. With that being said, I think pioneer has zero chance of making semis. It is going to be a bloodbath to make top 17 this year and top 12 is going to be even worse.

Galen
Broken Arrow will be an important show for Pio- that's their first encounter with Seattle.
