Your Favorite Corps Logo

So, with The Cadets considering retiring the "running man" logo, it would be interesting to see which corps logos everyone thinks best portray their respective corps and drum corps in gerneral.

So, remember, this is not about picking your favorite corps but about picking what you think is the most effective logo. For an easy way to see all the logos in one place, go to the "View All Member Corps" page on DCI.org.

Your reasoning for choosing that logo would also be interesting to hear.

I picked The Cadets' "running man". I am among those who think it portrays drum corps well (obviously its someone marching and carrying/playing a horn) and it depicts The Cadets' fast drills very well.

My second choise used to be the Bluecoats logo - I feel the new one is more "professional" looking but is too generic and doesn't depict drum corps, music or marching at all.

The logos are simple and immediately evoke thoughts of those corps even outside of drumcorps I see a Delta...I don't think about airplanes....I think about Spirit. I see the Maltese Cross.....I think BONES!

interesting... the only corps that have a logo that pops immediately into my head are:

Crossmen

Spirit

Madison

Phantom

so, one of those 4 would be the best.

... with a little deeper digging into my brain, I can come up with:

Cadets

Blue Devils

Cavaliers

Troopers

... and Crown, if their logo is still that "bell with music coming out" type design

I can picture the Bugle B thing for Bluecoats, but I don't think that is the current one...

does BK still have the dots?

Spirit is up there in my book as well - the presence of the horn at least identifies it as a music organization to the non-drum corps folks. On the other hand, while I love Crossmen's maltese cross from a drum corps fan standpoint, it reads too much like West Coast Choppers to the non-fan.
