To an extent, I don't care what the Cadets are wearing, as long as they put on a #### fine show.
-
My high school played Sea Hawk in 2006 for our show Return to the Sea. Least favorite part of the show (also played "Wind on the Water", "16 Men on a Dead Man's Chest" and "Eternal Father, Strong to Save")

Alcohol content would be part of it, I'd say. -

In Soviet Russia, chairs sit the Blue Devils. -
Streamlining Foodservice

Just means they've learned their lesson from their local buffet: Get a clean plate when returning to the buffet. :P In all seriousness, I know what you mean. But this thread is ridiculous--might as well put in my joke. -
I thought it was about trying to rally together a petition to make Tang the official drink of the United States...

DCI Needs to Rule with THIS

Guess you don't have to worry about the handle falling off of your tenderizer... -
Not the same song, but same artist: Bourbon County (KY) 2009 used "Who Wants To Live Forever" in their show. Worked wonderfully.
-
Marion County High School (KY) used that piece in their show this year. I have a video or two of them on my channel.

Phantom Crown or Crown Regiment (depending on your preference) - Both tend to have that nice and rich bottom sound. Blue Cavaliers - I associate them with a dominant high brass sound.

Dare I say, En Fuego? ($1 to Dan Patrick)

Thank you all for sharing your experiences, even though I never got to march with a corps, I still enjoy reading all of the posts. -

Especially since different channels show essentially the same shows with minor tweaks. How many storage locker auction shows do we have? -
I, personally, thought he looked a little high. :P You do realize that flop posts are an essential part of DCP, right? lol From the article: "A laser light show against the black backdrop of the stadium created the delicate effect of falling snow and thoroughly captivated the audience, as this type of special effect was new to Grand Nationals."

Anybody else see the possibility of Cadets '12 going the way of Regiment 09? A championship year followed by a "flop?"

I don't know what to think of this, but I certainly wouldn't mind a listen. -
2012 DCI Tour info released . . .

Louisville and MAYBE Murfreesboro. -
I just wonder how amazing Shaw's arrangement of the piece would have been... A local high school did it this year, and I found myself constantly comparing it to Regiment. That's the drawback (for me) of high schools doing music that corps have used. lol

How do YOU spell success?

Either: B-L-U-E-D-E-V-I-L-S or C-A-D-E-T-S (Depending on your preference) -
I'll admit that I fell for it. I was merely wondering if Hooters was going to become a drum corps sponsor. lol. And then I saw it was in Historical discussions.
