3rd_Star_Brigade
Nah, with last year's program and staff, it would have turned more into this: pssst... jim mason's the director this year... making that look like a uniform choice. Cathie Wiener
I liked the '91 version of this uniform even better, with the long train in back: I agree, those were really nice uniforms.
CrunchyTenor
To Oldschool: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Really, the '08 gear looked like it came out of a B&D catalog. And you know this how? Garry in Vegas
byline
I agree, those were really nice uniforms. It always amazed me how a corps that had such gorgeous guard uniforms over the years could also have some of the worst. I suspect it was a budget thing . . . and I can't exactly talk, given my own corps' '80 debacle.
oldschooldbc
To Oldschool: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I resemble that remark. I am living proof of this axiom. I have all the personality of a bowl of cold oatmeal. I have the social life of a Capuchian Monk. And I have the social interraction skills of a boy that was raised in a barn. I chose to live this way. It is my funamental reason for being. I have come to accept it, as part of my existential purpose in this world. What is my purpose? To act as a counter-balance, in a world that is dominated by those with Histrionic and Narcissistic Personality Disorders. I have come to realize that the world needs more non-functioning introverts like me. It needs less of people like Vanilla Ice or Chad OchoCinco. It was the influence of an outside person new to the corps with a new "vision." We lived, we learned, we moved on. It's happened to many corps before and it will continue to happen. It's the nature of the activity.
