jamesjones0611
Umm... I could not disagree more. Yeah, what you said. 007, Summertrain, Scheherazade, Bohemia...lots of shows to like that summer. Strongest top 3 ever, imho, maybe besides 2009. Triple Forte
yeah, ya know, 05 was rather blah I am a little surprised with this......let me throw a couple out there to see if you feel differently, Madison Scouts (Carmen and 6th place) Carolina Crown (Angelus....really establishing an awesome hornline presents) SCV (Didn't place to well....but vintage SCV with a Russian show) Boston Crusaders (Some familiar tunes....with a great swing section/drum solo And my favorite from 2005 Phantom Regiment with Rhapsody thoughts ? Yeah...how can I not like 05. I just realized only cadets 05 is a part of the 99 club and didnt go undefeated, in fact we were only in 1st for 2 weeks. It was a good year. Liked madison, bd was ok, phantom started their rise, bloo was better than usual, and boston was fun. Also liked glassmens show that year...was that the beethoven? Abbevillekid26
Am I really the only person who liked My Kind of Town? 2005 surely isn't my favorite year but I don't think it sucked. Add on everything Triple Forte said too, loved Madison and SCV.

I listen/watch to everyone top to bottom. it was this year that I truly felt 13th down was just bad carbon copies of big corps

jjeffeory
You liked the "trip to the dark side"? Yeah, almost my least favorite BD show, then they did that reverse dance marathon show....double bleh. The dark show in '95 was great. It took time to grow on me, of course. It sort of reminded me a bit of their 1991 show... Many people hated their 1991 Conversations in Jazz show. That show took a while to grow on me, but it did. Boy do I respect the musical difficulty and visual excellence in that show today. In '94, I didn't like the arrangements. There was such a big deal made by Rondinero about the fact that BD played Spanish Fantasy 1986 and won with it. I loved that '86 BD show. I just didn't get the "chop and bop" '94 stuff. It was a major let down compared to the earlier stuff. It was never the performers or the performance, it was the design. That's the beginning of the "chop and bop" arrangements that are so popular today. Now, that Dance Derby of the Century show they did in 2005. I'm not digging it. No offence to anyone. jjeffeory
2002 1998 2009 In no special order. Although, I think as time goes on, 2009 may move to the top of that list. I know I already gave my two cents, but I agree with you. Those three years were definitely down years.
