And to go along with your idea: Half of the corps starts playing a Taylor Swift song, then all of a sudden, the other half of the corps interupts them and start playing a Kenye West song. I think it's a given that at least one Corps from the state of Illinois finishes in the top 5. Like you said, it's been 34 years and counting that a Corps from Illinois was NOT represented in the top 5 come Finals Night placement.
