I have not seen him in I could not tell you how many years. I had heard a rumor before that they had split up because he spent so much time at the fire hall. It's good to see you posting here, the last I had seen you, was at the Kansas concert when I was working as an usher and had just gotten done talking to Rob (buckwheat) and I saw you working your way to your seat. There was someone else I had seen that night, it was like a Westshore alumni meeting.

Yeah, the fire hall thing was his gig...firemen are great (heck, my Mother was a fireman...) but they have their own way of life, and it all revolves around hanging out at the firehall! hahaha!

WE usually go to Wildwood in early September and catch the NJ State Firemans Convention at the end of our week, I've always said "give those guys some instruments and you have a Drum corps" The amount of BEER that flows that week JEEEEZIS!

You probably saw either Don Barry or Dan Bowman (or both) at that show. I usualy see Dan a few times a year at concerts (as well as Buckwheat) In fact I ran into Dan at the Ian Anderson (from Jethro Tull) show at the Forum this past year.

Chris,

again, the end came when Phil passed away. when he left us, the program lost its most dedicated and beloved voice.

which brings me to today's sad memory.

getting on the bus before finals in 96...on the way to win a world title. Hackman comes up to me, his eyes are all red, and he asks me to keep him away from Dan til after the show. I ask him why.

"i just got the call...Phil died"

wow. as someone who helped at Crest for two years and went to Eli's many a night before then, i felt like someone had just clocked me with a bat.

we knew if Dan knew he'd freak, and Dan, being the "slightly" superstitious creature he is, would not take it well before fianls and finals warmup.

John judged that night...he didn't know either til we told him later

RIP Phil.

Phil is sadly missed by all who knew him.

and now a happier thought.

for those around in 90, who remembers when Hoss the bus driver(not Hoss the drummer) did donuts in Scrantons parking lot with the bus?

By the way gang, I was on the bus when we stopped to by beer on the way home. Craig Watson was running with a case of beer and wiped out as he ran to the bus. Beer everywhere. . .it was hilarious. And if I remember correctly, the place was getting ready to close. We kept them open. I think it was after we'd beaten Sun for the first time and everybody wanted to extend the celebration!
