bluecoats88 Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 was that "THE THING" ? no that was during their riverboat gambler days. Colts also had the long riverboat gambler look with orange jackets. The thing was called that because after the merger the corps didn't have enough of one uniform for the whole corps so the hornline wore a uniform from one of the two merged corps and the drumline wore a uniform from the other merged corps. Not sure what the guard wore. So they looked like a conglomerate of different groups, which is really what they were, thus the name The thing.
