Jocko the Wonder Llama
IIRC back in the late '70s, there was an article in DCW entitled "Valhalla" About a corps member seeing and hearing the ghosts of some of the great corps of the past in a competition in Valhalla. They await us in Valhalla. And what an awesome show that will be.
dcfan1982
...the many corps that have left us. I will throw out a few..... How about "Pride of Cincinnati"? Always had a fun show. They did the coolest swing tune in the mid 80's.... not sure the name, but they played it as their retreat tune every night as well. GREAT soprano soloist in that chart. ajlisko
Payphone? What's that? Funny you shoud mention that ... I was just in London last month and could not help notice that payphones in the traditional Phone Booth (you know, what Superman changed in) ... were all over the place ... wow ... what a throwback ... :-)

TerriTroop
Payphone? What's that? It's that thing we stood in line to use, usually during laundry days. We'd usually have a bag of coins, or if we were lucky we could call our parents collect and they'd accept the charges. I think these old devices once had dials on them, and you held this ear piece thing up with one hand and dialed with the other. I think. I'm not sure.
