... and then there were the Champions. It may seem that the Brigs or Bucs will take this one, but the amount of selections for each corps may prove to divide their votes. Here are your winners thus far:

10th - 2000 Bushwackers "Music from the Dark Side"

9th - 2009 Bushwackers "Scenes from a Phsychotic Circus"

8th - 2009 Alliance "Dynamo"

7th - 2004 Yokohama Inspires "Suite for a Hot Corps"

6th - 2008 Bushwackers "Gypsodic!"

5th - 2001 Bushwackers "The Raging River"

4th - 2000 Empire Statesmen "Phantom of the Opera"

3rd - 2001 Caballeros "Tribute"

T-2nd - 2007 Caballeros "Carmen 2007"

T-2nd - 2008 Minnesota Brass "Connection"

Have fun voting!

Due to complete bias and the fact that I think it deserves to win, I'm going with 2009.

Brigs 2000. That corps was solid through and through. Insane percussion that had tons of demand and played it clean. They didn't do the easy but clean game... Who could compete with that bright jazzy G bugle sound? Colour guard was fantastic as well.

Tough call.

'02 Brigadiers.... absolutely outstanding. The Brigs at the very top of their game. In a class all by itself that year.

'05 Buccaneers...... overwhelming...by far the best all-age corps on the field that summer, IMO... and the corps that ended a long championship drought for one of DCA's founding members and its first champion.

'04 Statesmen....IMO, an underrated show (or about as underrated as a 1st-place show can get, I would think). Another classic Statesmen product, with special effects (the "bleeding portrait" was awesome) and the fun of the "Hollywood director."

'03 Caballeros....... super high-energy show, and the corps that snapped the Brigadiers' winning streak.

And there are other great choices for the decade.

But.... I voted for the 2009 Buccaneers. A quintessential champion....strong across the board.

My rooting interests are the Hurcs and the Cabs, so I wanted to vote for the 2003 Cabs, but I went with 2009 Bucs. Best I've seen.

Thanks for putting up these polls. Helped remind me that there were so many great corps and great shows this decade. Just when you think the bar can't get raised any higher, somehow it does, year after year. Such quality!

2002 Brigadiers. Common now, that show was........DCI capable.

EDIT

Listening to the show AGAIN...that hornline has the perfect sound!!

2001 Brigs is still the ultimate for me!!! That closer with all the snare drums and concert basses was unreal.
