Newseditor44
It breaks my heart to say this, but due to financial hardships the corps has officially folded its winter drumline and will not be performing any more this season. The corps isn't dead yet, but it's fighting to stay alive. Sad day for me personally and all of my brothers and sisters. Will keep you all posted. DCIHasBeen
It breaks my heart to say this, but due to financial hardships the corps has officially folded its winter drumline and will not be performing any more this season. I would assume it is also safe to say that after years of battling financial issues, the organization is fairly close to closing its doors for good.Sad day for me personally and all of my brothers and sisters. Will keep you all posted. Sad ... But maybe you could clarify something. I thought the Freelancers had one of the premier bingo business going on in the state ... And yet money problems persist? What kind of revenue does it take to run a winter drum line program and where does the bingo operation fall short of supporting this? Thanks. The changes in gambling regs may have hurt....I know it hurt BD when the Indian casinos were able to run in their area....when I marched we had the only large bingo presence in Contra Costa County....hence why there were games 7 days a week and BD was flush. 84BDsop
Is the mini corps done as well??? (Hope not!!!!) I think you mean the Alums....AFAIK, that group is financially independent from the main Freelancers org.
