84BDsop
Could be, we are talking about a 350 mile stretch, The top of the state above Concord does not have a corp. Not sure about San Diego. I thought Gold moved to the San Diego area after the falling out with the Centinela School District. Freelancers Alums...I don't know if they ever plan to do more than park & bark....but they might be taking a slow path.
ajwdad
Indeed. A big reason you see that concentrated band running from wisconsin through NJ is the number of top corps up there. (Not to leave the other corps out, but we know that even without the g7 thing the top 6 and finalist corps drive a lot of the scheduling.)In a similar distance east-west as cali goes n-s, you have these 8 2010 finalists: Blue Stars Madison Cavaliers Phantom Bluecoats Glassmen Boston Cadets You also have Pioneer Colts (on the fringe of it) Jersey Surf and the original home of the Crossmen. This may play as big a role as anything in the makeup of that map. Might be interesting to see it from Minneapolis onwards. that area is about 900 + miles, From Concord to San Diego is about 500. Concord, home of BD, BDB, and BDC, to Hawthorne, home of gold is about 380. Tip of CA to tip of ca does not really contain much in the north... Just for comparison.
