Jeff Ream
Ok, Jeff, you're in charge of getting 2000 band kids to go. You have two years to work on it already sent more than a few emails.
Jeff Ream
Jim, I think it helps quite a bit that the stadium is not on the grounds of the Naval Academy, but in the city itself. But yeah... security has definitely been tighter in the Naval Academy area since 9/11, and understandably so. from the desk of Glen Hazelwood: "Anyone thats been concerned over the recent restrictions imposed by Rochester or has all those fond memories of the Keystone State Kops from Scranton....you best do some serious re-programming before you set foot on military property. That's gonna be a WHOLE new world. Just sayin..."
JeffUsnaDB
Phew! Glad that is over!!! Time to get to work on this! Some clarifications.... - Alcohol has been served inside the stadium for Major League Lacrosse events, so it still might be a possibility for DCA's. - Home side seats about 13,000. - Stadium is about 1.5 miles outside the grounds of the Naval Academy, so parking/security/access should be smooth. - Navy home football games are regular sellouts at 34,000 fans, so the stadium staff and Annapolis police are very well versed in getting crowds in and out of there. I don't think I have sat in traffic more than 10-15 minutes after a Navy football game. Jeff
JamesUSNA88
Go Navy! Annapolis is a great city. I'll be very interested to see what they come up with for I&E night, etc.
