Furthermore, how did we let the Dutch get the upper hand in the field bicycle race. That could have been us! Now, if we implement bicycles onto the field, (and yes, we've have selected uses of bicycles by Velvet Knights, Sky Ryders and more recently Blue Stars, but those were soloist performances and not full ensemble offerings to this glorious extent), we will just be followers and not leaders. Fran Haring Posted October 11, 2010 Share Posted October 11, 2010 DCA's Empire Statesmen in 2002 had a couple of guys from a Dutch bicycle band... I'm pretty sure it was the band mentioned in this thread... in their corps that summer. The two bicycled around the field playing sopranos, and generally causing mayhem....LOL... during the Statesmen's version of "Officer Krupke" that year.
