bluecoats88 Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 I did post an add-on to the original CI thread about the captions. Once again, CI kicks in only when it's close. If Madison is in the same league, same ballpark as one of the newer elites, Madison will get every "tie to the runner." It doesn't even matter where the placement might be; maybe battling for 5th or 6th, for all we know. The corps with the highest CI will get the nod. I'm usually with you on the CI, especially when it comes to the title, but the above statement was proven wrong in 2005. Madison didn't get the nod over the up and comer with no CI that year as Bluecoats soundly beat them in Finals after losing to them in Qtrs and only tieing them in Semis.
