mellodramatic
Topic says it. I can't watch a single performance without having to wait for the download to catch up to where I am, or the entire application just crashing.
bawker
I haven't had any issues lately myself; was just on last night and watched most of 1992 and 1997 without any problems. Have you tried e-mailing the tech folks @ http://dci.thefannetwork.org/support/ ?
MikeN
I'd settle for them actually announcing details of new subscriptions more than 7 days before the old ones expire. Mike

MisterA
I have had multiple issues as well. We have the highest speed internet, a top notch computer, and still have some issues at different times, it is so annoying. And I agree, it would be nice if they would give details about the upcoming fan network package at least a little in advance. I wish I could put my foot down and refuse to resubscribe until they get these issues resolved, but I can't bear to miss live online performances, even if the quality isn't as good as someone with a camcorder at a show putting it on youtube. This is what really gets me. how can a person with a $250 camcorder get a better higher quality recording than the supposedly higher dollar quality cameras DCI should be using? DCI should be taking notes from the recordings they have removed from youtube. Sometimes I wonder if the quality issue is more of a problem from DCI than the actual copyright issues with other people posting things? NR_Ohiobando
I sometimes have trouble accessing it on my campus internet. Otherwise it's smooth sailing. Did your subscription expire on the 30th? Or stop watching so much porn at the same time? But seriously I'm really happy with the Fan Network. Especially considering the struggles when they first tried online content. I mean seriously, you're watching drum corps somewhere else in the country LIVE. LIVE!!! We're a somewhat-struggling non-profit marching arts organization, not ESPN! In the words of Louis C.K. "Everything is amazing right now and nobody's happy"

"Everything is amazing right now and nobody's happy" Like any other year, the subscription gets pushed up until they get the next season ready to go. I do appreciate that, and I am really glad that thefannetwork exists. But to some of us, it is just surprising that the quality of video from a person with a cheap camcorder, puts a better quality picture on a youtube video? And what is wrong with asking they post the schedule a little in advance? And I have no clue what porn would have to do with this conversation? I am confused as to where this came from. So people pay alot of money for a service, and they expect a quality service. I am still willing to pay for this service, as I have for the last 4 years or so since they started offering it. But as much as I am excited for the live video feeds, and the video on demand, I can't help but think they could upgrade thier equipment just a little bit for these feeds. I, along with thousands of others, still buy the DVDs each and every year. So upgrading the service a little isn't going to cut into those profits much, and the number of new subscribers could well pay for the cost of the upgrades. MikeN
Heck, I don't mind the video quality - I think for the cost, it's fine. And I get we're supporting a fairly small organization here. All I'm asking is, tell us what's going on, and what the plans are, more than a few days before it happens. This is a yearlong subscription we're taking out - it's not too much to ask, no matter what product and what size company. This is the third year in a row this has happened, and it's aggravating each time. Mike
