"This is a dictatorship...and you guys are the tators."

HA! So what does that make the instructor who said it if the members are the tators?

This thread/twitter feed... not in the top 10 good ideas.

Think, people.

This thread is a harmless idea.... and fun, imo. If things said on this thread about a staff's quip, is not exactly PC, just remember that in the overwhelming number of cases these staff members would have layed down on the freeway street in traffic for us if need be to save us, or make us better young people. They pushed us and allowed us to stretch ourselves to reach heights we never thought possible of ourselves. The gratitude we have today for that is not in any way diminished by the funny things they'd sometimes say to us to try and push our buttons.

Now, back to the thread and the funny things we've heard staff say on occasion.....

"Stop thinking and just do it, you know what happens to kids that think too much? They don't get laid!"

On a Scouts pages we had a whole bunch of old quotes (from the 70's)from a certain instructor. Unfortunately, if I were to clean them up, they would make no sense.

Former Scouts from the 70's, you know who I'm referring to.

Former marching instructor who shall remain nameless: "Who feels strong today?"

Eager hands go up, person is selected...3rd year vet...he stands up...

Instructor walks right up and gets in his face: "Do you feel strong, (name of member)?!?"

Member: "Yes sir!"

Folks who marched that year know what happened next.

this is not a democracy, it's a dictatorship, and you, you are the 'tators.
