Best 4th Place Show

I'm with you on that one. I don't think it's that the quality has gotten that much higher in the last two years, but I think it's that people remember those shows more, and are more likely to vote for them. Maybe in 5 years, if they do this poll again, we'll see the winners of this poll left behind to more recent shows, but I'd still like to see more of the earlier decade get recognized.

Phantom 03 is my 3rd favorite show all time...so.......them.

I also noticed I was sort of underwhelmed by the shows that finished fourth. I was much more excited by the list of groups that finished 5th. Which is odd, because I've noticed I only like good groups in my old age.

Nobody likes Cavies 09 cuz it was the weakest show of theirs in the decade

I don't like this show because it was the weakest Cavalier show since 1997. I don't like it because it was bad.

Quick question for everyone, what is it about Phantom '03 that makes it a consistent favorite? It is a good show, but there were a lot of problems in that Finals run, I mean, near-collisions in the drill. What really made that show so special?

The musical arrangements were top notch and carried a ton of effect (which the corps conveyed). With the exception of overblowing at parts, the brass was on fire and the musical performance was tight (2nd in Music Ensemble). The show just had energy, at least for me.

Thank you. That's more of what I was looking for. I know it's a good show musically, minus the aforementioned overblowing, but the visual always dragged it down for me. Not sure how people can almost be colliding at Finals....

I'm much more into the musical aspect, so I don't even watch the video with this show. It's on my playlist for running, and it's one of my 5 "go to" shows for when I need a workout pick-me-up. (not that I'm running at all these days thanks to injuries, but someday.... back to it!)
