jjeffeory Posted July 28, 2011 Share Posted July 28, 2011 I too have much respect for Madison's team, especially their brass staff, but this show was not designed for upward mobility. The visual program was just not designed effectively. I understand that they've been making a lot of major changes recently, but the fact that these changes are happening so late is a testament to the fact that they underwrote the corps this year. If these changes cannot be implemented cleanly soon, they may not be able to pick up momentum again, and if the changes aren't effective, it may not matter if they can't clean them. There is plenty of time in the season for major changes to be cleaned. I don't see a problem with doing it at this point in the season. Really, many groups don't have complete shows on the field until the beginning of July and they've gotten pretty clean with the later parts by now. We've got about 3 weeks left. I am about the biggest Troop fan and homer you will ever find and I agree that you are right about them making 8th, but, that is not what was said. Blue Devils If this happens, there sure would be " massive gasp from the crowd ". In the last 37 years, the Blue Devils have finished as low as 5th at Finals just once ( 1991). It's been 4 weeks, and we have 3 left. Certainly not the same amount of time, but they don't have to clean the WHOLE show again either, just the parts that they changed.
