Super Don-O
Crown (especially if they get their electronics balance fixed for the recording - the piano parts were too soft in the recent Fan Network broadcast) Bluecoats (only if they get their electronics balance fixed for the recording - WAY too loud on the recent Fan Network broadcast) Madison Regiment Cavaliers/Blue Devils (can't decide) with a few others really close behind
archbananas
1. Carolina Crown - I can't get enough of this show xD It just sounds amazing all around! Favorite part? Bohemian Rhapsody hit.... I can play that over and over again and still not get tired of the sound the hornline has. OH. Eruption also xD 2. Blue Devils - The melodies are stuck in my head, along with my Dad's as well. I hope Blue Devils stay like this musically. Forever. XD 3. Phantom Regiment - I really like the show as a whole, but what sticks out to me most is the sections solis where it starts with contras, then mellos, euphs, and finishes off with trumpets. 4. Academy - I like the whole show, but definitely the opener sticks out to me! 5. Madison Scouts - I don't have the professional recording of it, but I just listen to Empire State of Mind. That is one heck of a closer. I even managed to learn the baritone solo! Yay for being able to play along xD
Cop
As of today, my 2011 selections are.. (I have no doubt this will change over time.. and years) 1. Phantom 2. Madison Scouts 3. Blue Knights 4. Crown 5. Coats (I dig Boston, but they make me want to hear Cadets 89, and Crown and Phantom's 1812) (I tend to listen to a lot more BD on my ipod vs. view them... and I have decades of BD on my ipod. I have no doubt I will enjoy 2011 BD too at some point. Also: I have yet to discover SCV 2011, and look forward to it). Schickmeister
(Not me being a homer here) But surprised not many people choosing Cadets. Seems to be a crowd favorite show and quite enjoyable melodically if you ask me. Just an observation.
skywhopper
1. Phantom - I love every second of the music beginning to end. 2. Crossmen are groovin this year. 3. Crown - I totally expected to hate this show, but I love it. 4. Blue Knights got English, baby! 5. SCV, probably. Love the music. Hope they get it clean by then. Boston and Cadets are honorable mention. Troopers may end up in there, too.
