Bluecoats 2012

Recommended Posts

Posted on the Bluecoats' Facebook wall...

We are exactly 7 days away from our first full day of rehearsal! We can't wait! Oh, and a big announcement coming on Monday...

Hopefully the full show announcement!?

It this is the full show announcement and it was about three months ago, then it would be a "big" announcement. Now they will just look a little silly for calling this "big"...

By that logic, I reckon they'd be better off not announcing anything. Let's all send emails before they make the huge mistake of announcing their show content!

/sarcasm

Look. It's obviously big. All of the bleating in these forums about how wrong they are to wait so long only proves how big a rep announcement is to y'all. You can't have it both ways.

I totally disagree.  It was a "big" announcement when Cadets announced their show in the beginning of September, more than nine months before the first competition and well before any other corps (even though the theme changed later).  Bluecoats not having released more than the show title yet just reeks of being behind the 8-ball, and not something that all of a sudden is "big" news in the middle of May when they are among the last two or three to do so.

Sigh. If only they realized what a big deal that this anouncement isn't.

Special Announcement from the Bluecoats: Music licensing is vitally important in our process of selecting and announcing the music we play each year. Since some pieces take longer than others to clear the music licensing process, we just received the green light to announce our repertoire in its entirety within the past few days. Thank you (our fans!) for your patience. We hope you enjoy our 2012 program, “UnMasqued.”
