mobrien
30+ years. Sounds like it's time for a modern interpretation. By that, you mean breaking whole musical phrases into bite-sized chunks, then throwing them into a musical Cuisinart, so in the end, they're barely recognizable as coming from the same composition? Something like that? Edited February 5, 2012 by mobrien
jjeffeory
I played that piece in my HS marching band. VK played a bit of it in their 1990 show to make fun of the Cavaliers!
bmjfelts1988
has anyone ever done this. Guardsmen 1980, 27th Lancers 1982 (and maybe one or two other years) and then Velvet Knights in 1990 did a small snippet of it. Great Piece. Would love to hear it again on the drum corps field. Was it to poke Cavies? I didn't know Cavies ever played it.

It was an "Intro" to their 'Color Presentation' of Columbia the gem of the Ocean. Garfield Cadets used it in 1974. Elphaba WWW
