fatbrassboy
But that's only the end of Act II. "Nessun Dorma" doesn't come until the beginning of the next act, which concerns Turandot's attempt to learn Calaf's name and so achieve his execution despite his success with the riddles. Then he actually tells her his name, putting himself in her power, but when dawn comes she announces that she had determined his name to be "love". And she also observes the all-consuming devotion of Calef's servant girl and this is one of the reasons she finally falls in love with him - realizing he must be a wonderful man to deserve this kind of devotion. :)
BozzlyB
I LOVE when people make statements like this. I always get a good chuckle. Sorry, no disrespect, but could you tell me about your "trained eye"? Your logic? Boston and Regiment both came out super clean and remain so. Blue Coats are also pretty darned clean Though very good, I don't Spirit as clean, and certainly do not see them as a corps that has peaked by any stretch. Possible he was referring to the judges? The judges seem to think so! I sense a peak starting to form! Edited August 6, 2012 by TimbreDeBrass
Corbin
I don't know about big jumps, but the surprise I would like to see is SCV in third this year. Cadets and Phantom won't give it up easily, but SCV is really getting itself together and has really been on the move since Atlanta. Great show from them this year!! TimbreDeBrass
I love getting flamed for making a statement, even when I do turn out right in the end. Even so, I won't rest on my lorals, finals week gets CrAzY
BozzlyB
Blue Stars. IF Blue Stars max their product out at the right time they have as much chance at upward mobility as anyone. Seems like they're on the right track.

Seems like they're on the right track. I think that is happening right now at the last minute, I was getting kind of worried around Minneapolis to Atlanta, but from Atlanta to now, it seems like they have hit a groove and haven't gotten off it. Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday are going to be interesting.
