From ghost: Question to all contra players past and present. Is it very difficult to maintain equal spacing with the damm thing on your shoulder? It can be. Some horns make it harder than others. It all depends on how much direct and peripheral vision is blocked in the direction you need to see. Headgear has no bearing on this (I've worn shakos, aussies, and a leather tam at some point).
