In truth .. BK has more GE built into their show ... also in Truth ... Spirit executes at a WAY higher level than BK. More .. and WAY MORE do not equate .. and they truly don't equate into a 2 pt swing in the wrong direction. I love both of these corps and have been strong supporters of both all year ... but this outcome is epic fail .... wrong ... convoluted .....and weird.

Tomatoes and Oranges as some one said to me, although I agree with your assessment of Spirit, I can not over look that the show is thinner than BK. I think both corps are great but you can not deny that BK took the greater risk in show development and pulled it off! Just my two cents and I do respect your POV!

Im happy for BK, but also elated for Spirit in their continued improvement. Taught with Mark Waymire and owe him so much of my teaching career... His guidance to this day still influences me... That was 13 years ago, so happy to see the wonderful teaching he continues to do with the Spirit Brass and Corps!!! They've got a great man. Went to school with Dr Snead and I'll say Spirit has great men at the helm!!

I'd really like to see BK do a more traditional show next year- less avaunt garde, etc.

Sully had the vision for this show a long time. I'm glad he got it out there. Next year, who knows, I never dreamed Cadets would do a Christmas show this year. Ahhh... These artistic types, you just never know.

Trumpet fracks not helping BAC's cause here.

I agree. Boston seemed flat and tired tonite. Maybe that West Coast thing wasn't all that good for them competitively in retrospect here. Then again, BAC does have a well designed show and their guard is good and it might just pull them through through what appeared to be a flat nite tonite from the brass line, imo.

I don't think the West Coast thing had anything to do with it. BAC and other corps that want to really contend for the top spots need to learn that professionals may have bad nights, but the audience never knows it. The Blue Devils are the masters of this, and so are the Cadets. It's part of being at the top of your game.

Not gonna happen if the judges keep rewarding them like they did today.................

A well deserved reward:) I think taking the risk they did will pay large dividends as they go forward... Got to retain and bring back those kids that put this beast on the field! BK not going to be safe in future I'm betting!:)
