kevingamin
I really like what Lee Beddis adds to the design of the show with the percussion. The drum solo is incredibly intense and a step up from previous years.

wesleyrp
Wow! Crowd went crazy when the corps hit their Firebird formation! WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO BLUE KNIGHTS!!!! ALIEN BIRD INVASION!!!!
kevingamin
It also wouldn't be a Madison show without a proper GRUNT from the corps, as exhibited (pun intended) as the corps moves into the park and bark of Malaga.

kevingamin
Nice lean back on the final chord of the opener. HUGE sound, too.
RockyGranite
That brings up a good point. When exactly does the pre-show running start end, and the show begins? It is when they are "announced?" I don't mind the beginning at all...even if they don't have instruments in their hands. It begins the story and gets across the alien bird-like race idea. Besides, when they DO pick up their horns, they proceed to use them very well.
kevingamin
Second piece involving The Way We Were. Tubas get a great moment, sandwiching two mello soloists, one on Pictures, the other on The Way We Were. Great mash-up.
wesleyrp
I could listen to the Blue Knights music all day long - What a great hornline and drumline. I just don't want to see all the prancing and dancing. U at the show... How was atmosphere when Crossmen took the field?
