garfield
NFL refs have been on strike for a couple of weeks now and the replacement refs are causing near-fights with bad calls. The season's team standings are being drastically affected by the stand-in refs. What if DCI judges went "on strike" (not that they could) and next season was judged by a batch of new judges, maybe inexperienced ones? How would it change the season?

They'd be more complaints on DCP about the inexperienced replacement judges with their scores and placements ?
Captain88
If any of these replacement judges knew any of these corps previously it would not be that big of a deal. You would hope these replacement judges would have some prior judging experience.
arrangerx
We'd see a lot more holding calls... Chuck
kickhaltsforlife
As long as they actually judge GE Music the right way I'm all for it. The current judges have no clue what to do with that caption, and are, in my opinion, pretty far off in some cases.

As long as the shows still go on, I wouldn't mind. The main reason we go to Drum corps shows is to see the drum corps, not the judges.
chaos001
NFL refs have been on strike for a couple of weeks now and the replacement refs are causing near-fights with bad calls. What if DCI judges went "on strike" (not that they could) and next season was judged by a batch of new judges, maybe inexperienced ones? How would it change the season? Something says that this was all an orchestrated marketing move to improve ratings and attendance. It's almost to WWE levels of drama. (it's also a nice way to demonize unions and make them lose public support) And the commentators are selling it worse than oily used car salesmen! All they do is #####, #####, ##### to bring attention to it. Edited September 25, 2012 by chaos001
Buick Dad
The field judges would get in the way more?
BRASSO
We'd see a lot more holding calls... Chuck Good observation. Also, we'd see : more flags on the field Bluecoats called for "a face mask" "Too many Men on the Field"... Cavs, Scouts " Intentional Grounding " ... lots of Corps and so on and so forth.
JimF-LowBari
Shows would be held up while the judges go over the rule book? Just as long as no judge says they are a fan (last weeks Saints game) or have any corps members in their fantasy league (Shady "one of Harrisburgs local guys" McCoy(?) story).
