jjeffeory
How about a corps that doesn't play a ballad in their show? Or, how about a spicey tune disguised as a ballad? I find that often times a ballad slows the momentum of the show down. I'm actually a little torn on this one. I love the sound of a beautiful ballad - especially when a corps gets a little extra effect with echo from a great horn sound. But, overall, I'd like to see a little evolution of show concept and design on this one. If they don't play a ballad in their show, then they can not have best ballad! It's okay, not everyone fits into that particular mold.
