Lead Posted August 2, 2013 Share Posted August 2, 2013 Point made, but more precisely... It stopped being drum corps when we started PLAYING tubas and trumpets. I think the last year of all bugles in drum corps was 1999. Correct. In 2000, Blue Devils and Cadets were on Bbs. It's amazing to go back and listen to the 2000 DVDs, where Cadets and Cavaliers tied for the championship... Cadets on Bbs and Cavaliers on Gs. Maybe it was just the unfamiliarity of the first year, but the Cadets (especially trumpets) sound awfully squirrely on the Bbs (sorry Tekk...)
