Galen
Pacific Crest 2014: "No Strings Attached" http://www.pacific-crest.org/2014/01/5890/ Looks like it could be an interesting show, but I think "Marionette" by ABBA would have been a good fit for the program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzkkrDYRGSU
btown50
Some of Madison Scouts music: "Fanfare for the New", the "Fugue" (from Passacaglia and Fugue), and "Concerto to End All Concertos" to complete the Kenton portion of the show. Cool. Can you point me to a published source?
btown50
From their Facebook page: The Scouts wrapped up their January camp this afternoon, putting together more than half of the show musically and pushing themselves through some challenging visual blocks. In ensemble, the corps played through the opener "Fanfare for the New", the "Fugue" (from Passacaglia and Fugue), and "Concerto to End All Concertos" to complete the Kenton portion of the show. Congratulations to all the new Madison Scouts receiving contracts today and thanks to all the volunteers who helped out this weekend. Another great camp from our passionate instructional team! #Scouts2014

mingusmonk
Aw wait ... I just realized they are talking about Los Angeles Neophonic Orchestra (Kenton) version of Passacaglia and Fugue, not the the Ellis Orchestra version penned by Hank Levy. That is going to make this harder. Edited January 21, 2014 by mingusmonk

That is going to make this harder. Or not. The Neophonic Orchestra release is NOT on Spotify, so no Fanfare For The New. But the Passacaglia and Fugue from that same album appears to have been put on one of the Kenton "Best Of..." compilations so it is on Spotify. This now ends the public conversation that I am having with myself. OP and Spotify are now as current as can be at this time. MelloMatt
I mean, appalachian spring is nice but I will be rolling my eyes if we reach the climax of appalachian spring in their show and there is a company front..... Where as I will be killing somebody if they don't do a dissolving company front while blasting Simple Gifts.

Did you see Star United's show (Minicorps / Soundsport) last year?
MelloMatt
Did you see Star United's show (Minicorps / Soundsport) last year? I saw a low camera angle. The one that Jersey Surf(?) had on YouTube.
