Galen
Some very tight scores last night as we see corps edging up into 90 territory. Will we somebody eclipse that mark tonight? The Texas tour takes a rare turn south and winds up in Corpus Christi's Buccaneer Stadium as Fleur de Lis, Stud Bolts and Buckeye Brass face off again in a rematch from Houston. Tri-State Troubadors have quietly been putting up some solid numbers and are in contention for finals. Midnight Vanguard will try to knock them off their perch at Madison Central HS in Jackson MS tonight. In the west, Grand Junction CO's Stocker Stadium has an exciting matchup between Roselle Park Conquistadors and Black Bayou Regiment lined up. Galen
Two events today as the Maumelle AR event has been cancelled. Lake Travis HS in Austin TX will be hosting a veritable championship spread worth of corps prior to Saturday's major event. Out west, Provo HS's new stadium will see a tight matchup between Circle City Sound and Roselle Park Conquistadors. Since I will be traveling this weekend, here's an early look at Saturday's events: The major event will be at the rebuilt Amon Carter Stadium in Fort Worth TX. This stadium has hosted some great DCPI events in the past, and we're very excited to be returning here to this redesigned venue. Out west, Rio Tinto Stadium in the suburbs of Salt Lake City UT will see intense competition in all 3 divisions.
Galen
The season is really starting to heat up (even if the weather outside isn't) as we head into the last full week of the regular season. With world class corps starting to pass the 90 point score mark, everybody will be working extra hard to squeeze the last bits of excellence out of their programs. Today's events: The largest event of the day takes place Scottsdale AZ's Horizon HS. Due to the huge turnout of corps, World class corps will be competing across town at U of P Stadium in Glendale. The other two smaller events will be held at Carson HS in Carson City NV and the Holt Arena on campus at Idaho State University in Pocatello ID. ftwdrummer
Welp, the Texas Zephyrs are making their final changes after tonight's show...hopefully rewriting the percussion book in "American in Paris" helps shape the season up to be as good as we'd hoped. StarOrg
The Star Organization corps have all made their last program changes for this season. Now it's clean, clean, clean.... in that order.
Galen
Corps make a long-awaited return to sunny California today. Due to the size of the San Diego show lineup, corps will be split up into one of two venues, El Camino HS and Oceanside HS. In northern California, Fleur de Lis will be returning to their lonely ways at Lodi's Grape Bowl, while Roselle Park Conquistadors and Buckeye Brass go head to head at Washington Grizzly Stadium in Missoula MT. Galen
We now have 8 corps that have broken 90, and the competition will only get fiercer as this week goes on. Today's events take place at Memorial Stadium in Napa CA, Citrus College Stadium in Glendora CA and Albi Stadium in Sponake WA.
StarOrg
I like seeing the newer blood at the top of the standings. We need more of that! Nice job Fleur De Lis, Circle City Sound, Buckeye Brass, Midnight Vanguard.
Galen
Fleur de Lis isn't exactly new blood. I think they were around all the way back in the first season.
