NickTheDrummer
Some pretty large changes to our world class show seem to have payed off last night. The kids are excited to build on this newfound success, and are hoping to be more competitive from here on out.
Galen
Scores are jumping all over the place in what's definitely turning out to be a competitive season. Tonight's largest show at Memorial Stadium in Savannah GA features an exciting 3-way dance between Fleur de Lis, Roselle Park Conquistadors and The Knights. Polaris Regiment will try to follow up last night's victory in Des Moines with a repeat performance at Memorial Stadium in Dodge City KS. Finally, Kinei O'Hana headlines the smallest of tonight's 3 events at Ozark HS in Ozark MO. This quaint stadium near Springfield will be just the right size for this event. gcurrier
The Knights were THRILLED to take another trip to the Southern Star Cup and challenge our good friends Star of Jupiter, Star of Hawaii and Cross! as always across all three divisions it was a great show! The Knights were happy to take another step up in their show and win--but the night is always so much more than the trophy at the Southern Star Cup! In the other part of the south, Brighthouse Network Stadium in Orlando FL hosts the Southern Star Cup, which will feature a matchup between title hopefuls Star of Jupiter, Roselle Park Conquistadors and The Knights. Galen
Just two small events in the south today as corps get back to work after an eventful weekend. The Columbus GA event will take place just across the state line at Garrett-Harrison Stadium in Phenix City AL. Attending corps will be happy to hear that the Waffle House across the street will be providing complimentary post-show meals to all attending corps. The larger of the two events takes place at Greyhound Stadium in Ocean Springs MS. We're very lucky to have none other than YEA's own George Hopkins on hand as our special guest announcer for this event, and I've heard that he's "thrilled" to be at this venue tonight
Galen
Western corps get back into the action today, competing at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs CO. This event marks the beginning of the big push to the west coast for many corps like Circle City Sound, Buckeye Brass and Roselle Park Conquistadors, who will be in unfamiliar territory. The large size of the Houston event has led to a venue upgrade, and this event, featuring Polaris Regiment, Star of Jupiter, Kinei O'Hana, Fleur de Lis and several other contenders, will be held at the new BBVA Compass Stadium, a professional soccer venue. The few corps attending the Montgomery AL show will find a welcoming venue at Stanley Jensen Stadium.
