kevingamin
For only 9 horns, every member is pushing sound through their instrument for a great performance. Guard is now disappearing under the tarp. As it's pulled over them, they change into flowing white dresses. Audience applauds the effect. kevingamin
Not Brunswick Battalion tonight - that's just a local group we're trying to get off the ground (East/North/South/New Brunswick NJ). Tonight, he's in blue with Raiders. Speaking of which... Next on the field is the Raiders from Burlington, New Jersey. Their 2014 program is entitled "Seasons of the Earth" and consists of: October by Whitacre, Eric Month of the Cold Moon (January, 1839) by Barrett, Roland Into the Joy of Spring by Swearingen, James Kingfishers Catch Fire by Mackey, John
kevingamin
Another good sized corps for the Raiders this year. There are scrims on the front sideline depicting the different seasons, starting with fall on the left and ending with summer on the right. kevingamin
The corps starts i small groups of horns or drums with a guard member in the middle, swaying as if the wind is blowing .The opening of October starts with a trumpet and guard soloist on side 2, just outside the 40. kevingamin
Horns now backfield. Nice sound from the mellos off the back stands. Build up with percussion as the horns turn back front for the final segment of October.
